14. Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar - WrestleMania 34
Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns had a surprisingly good hard-hitting match under the Santa Clara sunshine at WrestleMania 31. Roman's reception was "polarising" according to the broadcast team, and Brock was pretty hot going into the event. Fans weren't willing to accept the Big Dog as the top guy, so a last minute change to booking saw Seth Rollins cash in his Money in the Bank and scurry off with the WWE Championship in one of the great 'Mania final images.
Three years later, after repeated attempts to get Roman over with the crowd, the Big Dog met the Beast once again in a bout for the Universal Championship. This time, however, there was no briefcase to help save to day.
All throughout the build, fans fully expected Roman to walk out with the Big Red Belt as Lesnar's reputation as an absent champion had worn thin on fans. Two men the audience didn't really care for closed out the Show Of Shows in what quickly dissolved into a test of the audience's tolerance and patience.
Sharing a grand total of about 5 moves between them, as well as a totally unnessessary blood-letting from Lesnar to Reigns, it was finisher after finisher with little variation between. And Lesnar inexplicably won the match! Sure Reigns wasn't the people's choice, but at least he would've been there!
