Everything Announced For Tonight's WWE Raw Card (16 Aug)
Randy Orton, Goldberg, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, and more on tonight's Raw.
Tonight's episode of WWE Raw takes place in San Antonio, Texas, and is the last before this Saturday's SummerSlam 2021 pay-per-view.
The company hasn't announced much for the show, though Raw's biggest SummerSlam match will be well represented as WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and his challenger, Goldberg, go face-to-face ahead of the pay-per-view. The format of this segment will likely be similar to Roman Reigns and John Cena's duelling promos on last week's SmackDown, which drew widespread praise.
Match-wise, Drew McIntyre vs. Veer and Shanky is the most bizarre thing on the card. Why? Because if Veer and Shanky win, McIntyre will be banned from bringing his sword, Angela, to the ring for his upcoming match with Jinder Mahal. Yes, WWE still wants you to believe that McIntyre using a sword on Mahal is a thing that could realistically happen.
If Drew wins, Veer and Shanky are banned from ringside at SummerSlam.
Finally, Randy Orton will face Omos in a singles match. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but Orton and Riddle have been linked to a shot at Omos and AJ Styles' Raw Tag Team Titles in recent weeks.
