Everything You Need To Know About The IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary Teases
11. New Japan Pro Wrestling
The tease: the NJPW logo flashed onscreen in the second teaser, as did a number of New Japan-contracted performers.
The likelihood of it happening: 40%
Surely, there's going to be at least one New Japan appearing at Slammiversary, right? They teased plenty names - Kazuchika Okada, Tetsuya Naito, Yujiro Takahashi, the entirety of Bullet Club - and thus it seems all but confirmed that this will be happening.
We'll talk more in-depth about Okada, Naito, and BC a tad later, but you'd want it to be someone who could make an impact in the company, no pun intended. When FinJuice came in, they won the World Tag Team Championships. When El Phantasmo came in, he was inserted straight into the X Division Championship title picture.
Presuming Sami Callihan does dethrone Kenny Omega of the World Championship, you'll want someone big to challenge him. Perhaps KENTA? He did some stellar work in AEW back in February, and would no doubt do wonders in IMPACT, too. Maybe even a former IMPACT champion, like SANADA.
Regardless, expect at least one star from the Japanese promotion to show their face at the pay-per-view. Anyone but Toru Yano, ideally.
