The wrestler formerly known as Cesaro jumped on social media with a tease this weekend, hinting at something big in his near future.

The 41-year-old, inactive in professional wrestling since his WWE contract expired in February 2022, tweeted the following on Sunday:-

Rather than being released while still bound to the company for a period of time, Claudio Castagnoli departed when he and the company were unable to agree to terms on a new deal, meaning he isn't bound to any kind of non-compete clause. This means he has been free to show up else in wrestling from the moment his Stamford duties ended. Thus far, this is yet to happen, with the Swiss star keeping a low profile.

Castagnoli's tweet has understandably led to speculation on a wrestling comeback. Last week's reveal of a mystery "Joker" participant in AEW's upcoming Owen Hart Foundation Tournament saw his name emerge amongst the favourites, though there is obviously no guarantee that this is the case.

It's possible, too, that Claudio was merely tweeting about an upcoming coffee project, given his t-shirt. 14 Match 2022 saw him file a trademark application for "CSRO" for a number of purposes, including this:-

IC 030. US 046. G & S: Coffee; Coffee beans; Coffee drinks; Ground coffee; Ground coffee beans

We'll have to wait and see.
