Should WWE chief Triple H contemplate a return for this old pay-per-view gimmick?

Former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr thinks Triple H should seriously consider bringing back the old Cyber Sunday pay-per-view concept.

Prinze Jr told fans tuning in for his 'Wrestling With Freddie' podcast that he was blown away when he found out that WWE didn't rig fan polls for the event. In fact, Freddie thought for sure that Vince McMahon was only trying to gauge interest in these shows by seeing how many people would vote.

Nope - the then-WWE boss stood by what fans asked for whether it was what he'd planned to do or not. That occasionally made for some strange moments on the PPV series, but Prinze Jr reckons that was exciting to folks watching at home.

He's pretty certain that Triple H will "start bringing some old school stuff back" now he's in the creative hot seat and Vince has retired. Freddie would be delighted to see Cyber Sunday back on the annual schedule, although he knows WWE would probably want to update the name.

Cyber Sunday ran for three consecutive years between 2006-2008. Before that, the fan voting concept was used for Taboo Tuesday in both 2004 and 2005.
