Finn Balor Health Update: Will He Be Back For WWE SummerSlam 2019?

The Extraordinary Man isn't in extraordinary condition at the moment.

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor was supposed to face the man who took his belt at Extreme Rules, Shinsuke Nakamura, on Saturday night's Smackville Network special, but pulled out due to "injury."

Per EWrestlingNews.com, this was just a kayfabe explanation to cover the real reason Balor was removed from the card - an undisclosed illness.

'The Extraordinary Man' has been suffered from an unconfirmed bug. On Sunday, he posted the following photo to Instagram while seemingly holed-up in a hospital:-

Balor is currently advertised to wrestle on this week's SmackDown. It's currently unclear whether or not he'll actually be able to compete on Tuesday night, though the "Summerslam" caption on his Instagram post is encouraging.

Recent weeks have seen Finn tormented by Bray Wyatt's new 'Fiend' character, with the former 'Eater of Worlds' first assaulting Balor on Raw's 15 July episode. The Irishman followed-up by calling Wyatt out on last week's SmackDown, leading to the duo agreeing to meet at SummerSlam (11 August), after which Finn is expected to take a two-month hiatus from WWE.

Whatever Balor's illness, here's hoping it isn't too severe and that he's able to mount a swift return,
