At the time of this inaugural WWE Raw, Eddie Guerrero was in the middle of his second reign as Intercontinental Champion, having bested Rob Van Dam for that secondary title at April's Backlash PPV. Here, Guerrero took the pinfall as he and Booker T lost to RVD and Jeff Hardy.

That IC Title reign would come to an end three weeks later on an episode of Raw, with Eddie dropping the title back to Van Dam in a phenomenal Ladder Match.
Eddie Guerrero tragically passed away on 13 November 2005 at 38 years of age.
