First Look At WWE's Becky Lynch As Cyndi Lauper In Young Rock
The Man comes around on the latest season of NBC's Young Rock!
Last night's season premiere of NBC's Young Rock comedy show saw the acting debut of Becky Lynch as Cyndi Lauper.
Credited as Rebecca Quinn, The Man burst onto the Young Rock scene during a sequence centred around Lauper's WrestleMania I party, a get-together that boasted the likes of Hulk Hogan and Mr. T, too.
Along with a whole host of fans celebrating the Irish sensation's work on the episode, the show's inspiration himself Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson sent some praise to the former WWE Raw and SmackDown Women's Champion, tweeting out a number of clips of Lynch's performance along with saluting her "awesome acting debut" and thanking her for "taking (him) back to this unforgettable moment,".

I first met the icon, Cyndi Lauper at a WrestleMania party when I was 12yrs old. She was so kind and made me feel like a million bucks. Huge thank you and props to my good friend @BeckyLynchWWE for taking me back to this unforgettable moment on tonight’s show. #YoungRock https://t.co/Ktc4o8jRhI

Elsewhere, one of Young Rock's Executive Producers and former WWE writer Brian Gewirtz would note on Twitter that Big Time Becks auditioned for the highly specific role of the real-life icon and eventually played her on the show whilst also dealing with her recently separated shoulder.
Great point @StephanieHypes - @BeckyLynchWWE auditioned knowing the degree of difficulty going from thick Dublin accent to thick New York accent while playing a real life icon and also dealing with a separated freaking shoulder would be tremendous. Still nailed it. #YoungRock https://t.co/rcwXFgPMgV

And Lynch would take that moment to shout out her dialect coach Courtney Young for her work in helping her "scrape away the brogue and bring Cyndis very distinct voice to life!”
Special shout out to @courtney_ly for working with me tirelessly to scrape away the brogue and bring Cyndis very distinct voice to life! https://t.co/Dfg5oogxKr

All in all, Lynch's small-screen Lauper work seems to be making quite an impact on audiences. So, perhaps The Man will take inspiration from said series' inspiration and turn this debut into a full-blown acting career before long...
