Former AEW Star Debuts At IMPACT Wrestling Bound For Glory 2023
This AEW Original made a surprise appearance at Bound for Glory last night.
With her AEW contract having expired earlier this year, Sonny Kiss made her IMPACT Wrestling debut at last night's Bound for Glory PPV.
News of Kiss' AEW exit surfaced early last month, with it believed that the Concrete Rose had departed Tony Khan's promotion in August. With Khan hesitant to fire talent, this was simply a case of the AEW President opting to not renew Sonny's contract.
As for Bound for Glory, Kiss was a surprise entrant in the Call Your Shot gauntlet match, entering in the #9 slot before eventually being eliminated by a combination of Matt Cardona and Brian Myers. During her time in the bout, Sonny got to have dance-off with Bully Ray.
Bully would make it to the final two of the match, where he would get pinned by Jordynne Grace. For Grace, as the winner of the Call Your Shot contest, she wasted no time in announcing she'll challenge for the Knockouts Title - currently held by Trinity - at Hard to Kill in January.
Of course, that Hard to Kill will take place under the TNA Wrestling banner, with the end of Bound for Glory revealing that IMPACT Wrestling will be rebranded as TNA next year.
