WWE have signed top indie wrestler and former Impact Wrestling star Santana Garrett to a developmental contract, according to Squared Circle Sirens.
The 31-year-old former NWA World Women's champion, Shine champion and winner of the 2016 STARDOM International Grand Prix amongst numerous other achievements, will apparently soon become a member of the NXT roster.
Garrett, who previously performed as Brittany in Impact Wrestling, is expected to be joined by several other independent wrestlers (including King Cuerno) as a part of WWE's September Performance Center class.
WWE fans may well recognise Garrett as she has made several appearances in the company since 2013. She has consistently been used as enhancement talent over the years; her first showing was back in October 2013 where she lost to an up-and-coming Charlotte Flair down in Full Sail. Since then she was beaten by the likes of Asuka, Emma and Billie Kay in NXT, before being eliminated by from the 2017 Mae Young Classic in the first round of the tournament by Piper Niven.
A highly-experienced competitor Santana Garrett is also a second-generation wrestler as her father, Kenny Garrett, worked as 'TNT' Kenny G during the days of the territories.
