Former Intercontinental Champion Signs New WWE Deal
Not seen in decades, this former WWE fixture is now back on the books.
Ken Shamrock is likely back on WWE's books under a new deal - potentially a Legends contract - following a merchandise drop.
PWInsider's Mike Johnson reported on the possible Legends deal after several new Shamrock designs appeared on WWE Shop, ready for purchase, on Monday.
There is currently no word on whether or not WWE's parent company, Endeavor, and Shamrock have "sparked a new relationship." Nonetheless, the sudden appearance of t-shirts and hoodies brandished with Shamrock's image is something that would typically require some form of agreement to have been made.
Several decades have passed since Shamrock, 59, was a WWE fixture, though he was a prominent player during one of its most successful periods, the Attitude Era. Signing as a former UFC Champion in 1997, Ken's run encompassed an Intercontinental Title run, a spell in the Corporation, and notable matches with Owen Hart, Mankind, and The Rock, before he left wrestling to return to MMA in 1999.
Though Shamrock has since appeared in several WWE video games, he has never returned to WWE. His last mainstream wrestling run came with IMPACT between 2019 and 2021.
