Former World Champion Returns On WWE Raw
Reuniting of pandemic-era stable also teased during superstar's return.
Bobby Lashley made his return to Raw on Monday night, ending his monthlong suspension and setting his sights on gold.
The All Mighty was tossed from Raw last month after inadvertently hitting multiple officials over the course of a couple of weeks, then shoving Adam Pearce. Pearce initially fired Lashley, then quickly backed it down to a suspension, which was lifted on Monday night.
Lashley returned by interrupting Austin Theory and spearing him, tossing the United States Champion from the ring before announcing that he was back to wreak havoc in the Royal Rumble, brushing past the secondary title he had held previously for the combined world titles.
What made Lashley's return a bit more intriguing was another backstage segment that saw MVP approach his former charge and revealed that he had convinced Pearce to end the suspension. MVP tried to make amends and re-recruit Lashley, hinting at re-forming the Hurt Business with Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander.
But Lashley politely declined for the time being, saying that the time wasn't right at the moment. That leaves the door open, and MVP was uncharacteristically calm and cool about it, so it's possible they're doing a slow burn to the pandemic era group getting back together.

Not mentioned at all or anywhere to be seen was Omos, whom MVP has managed since right after WrestleMania 38 after turning on Lashley. There's no indication of whether MVP has ditched the Nigerian Giant or if he would be part of this gathering storm of wrestlers, but that would be another component of this story if it continues.
