The 61-year-old was on IMPACT's Emergence pay-per-view on 12 August, officiating the Knockouts Championship match between Jordynne Grace and Mia Yim. Now, PWInsider's Mike Johnson has confirmed that Armstrong has rejoined the Anthem-helmed promotion in what sounds like a dual role.

Per the report, Scott will work not only as an IMPACT referee, but as a producer too.

Armstrong's last run with the promotion commenced in 2002, when it was still known as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Picked up by WWE in July 2006, he was with the market leaders all the way through to January 2022, when the promotion officially confirmed his departure 13 months after being brought back after initially being let go at the COVID-19 pandemic's April 2020 onset.

Armstrong comes from a decorated wrestling lineage, with father 'Bullet' Bob Armstrong a mainstay of the territory era and beyond, and brothers Brad, Steve, and Brian (WWE's Road Dogg) all active over the past few decades.
