According to a post made by a friend on Bass' official Facebook page, Nicole was hospitalised after falling ill earlier in the week. The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reports that Bass suffered a major stroke, and while doctors did all they could to help, Bass couldn't be saved, and she was taken off life support.

A former professional bodybuilder, Bass entered wrestling through ECW in 1998. She aligned herself with Justin Credible and Chastity, and participated in feuds with the likes of Tommy Dreamer and Beulah McGillicutty before transitioning to WWE in March 1999, debuting as Sable's bodyguard.

At 6'2" and 230lbs, Bass was a huge, muscular woman known primarily for her imposing physique. She left WWE after filing a lawsuit claiming she was sexually assaulted by Steve "Brooklyn Brawler" Lombardi backstage, but the case was ultimately dismissed in 2003. From there, Bass continued wrestling on the independent circuit and worked as a personal trainer, but health issues had dogged her for over a decade.

Bass' WWE tenure saw her work with the likes of Ivory and Debra. Her run was brief, but she unquestionably made a mark.
