A Casino Ladder Match is set for this Wednesday's edition of AEW Dynamite.

Six participants have already been announced - PAC, Andrade El Idolo, Jon Moxley, Lance Archer, Matt Hardy and Orange Cassidy - with a seventh scheduled as the mystery 'Joker', as is now tradition.

The former Buddy Murphy, Buddy Matthews, has teased making his debut on the programme on Twitter. In a since deleted tweet, Matthews posted a picture of a joker card.

This should not be taken as confirmation, necessarily, although his deleting the tweet can potentially be interpreted as an instruction. Wrestlers tease matches, debuts, and jumps frequently. It is in the DNA of virtually every worker.

Reports have varied re: the AEW/Buddy Matthews link. In July, it was reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the promotion had shown interest in bringing him in. In September, however, Meltzer speculated - the difference must be pointed out - that it "looks" like AEW had passed.

Matthews is contractually free to sign a new deal with the promotion. His non-compete clause has expired, and he has recently made appearances for Pennsylvania Premiere Wrestling and Battleground Championship Wrestling. In April, Omega tweeted that it would "be cool to mix it up" with Murphy.
