Fresh off his debut vignette airing at IMPACT Wrestling's Slammiversary event, Matt Morris - the former Aiden English - will be providing English commentary for New Japan Pro Wrestling's upcoming Resurgence show on 14 August.

'The Drama King' will be joined in the announce booth by Kevin Kelly and Alex Koslov, with the event taking place at the Torch at the LA Coliseum. An English broadcast of the show will be available as a timed exclusive via FITE TV, before later being uploaded to New Japan World, where a Japanese-language version of the event is also scheduled to air.

With his final televised WWE main roster bout airing in October 2018, the then-Aiden English took up a position as a commentator for 205 Live. Joined by the likes of Nigel McGuinness and Vic Joseph throughout his headset tenure, 'The Drama King' excelled in the role before his WWE release on 15 April 2020.

His IMPACT debut will air in the coming weeks, with a report from PWInsider confirming that the real-life Matt Rehwoldt has signed with the Anthem-helmed promotion on a full-time basis.

Intriguingly, New Japan's press release teases a future in-ring for Morris, too. Given IMPACT's working agreement with the company, it quite literally is a possibility.
