FTR have followed in their Pinnacle stablemate MJF's footsteps by teasing uncertainty on their AEW futures, stating, in a new interview, that they don't have long left on their current contracts.

Speaking on Rasslin' with Brandon F. Walker, Dax Harwood said that he and Cash Wheeler have several goals they want to accomplish in 2022, including becoming the first-ever two-time AEW Tag Team Champions. But the clock is ticking on their contracts, with time running out for FTR to hit their goals (h/t Wrestling Inc.):-

“There’s a difference between having great tag team matches and being a great tag team. I think 2022 going forward, we can be in that same conversation with Arn and Tully, Midnight Express, and Rock ‘n’ Roll Express. That’s my goal for 2022. Because we don’t have very much longer on these current contracts. I don’t know what’s going to happen from there, but we have a short amount of time to accomplish the things we want to accomplish. Like winning the IWGP Tag Team Championships, obviously two time AEW Tag Team Championships, proving that we are the best.”

Planting such seeds is nothing new for members of AEW's Pinnacle faction. The group's leader, MJF, has been constantly doing this throughout 2021, teasing a "bidding war" when his own deal expires in 2024 amidst talk of heavy WWE interest.

How much belief you cheese to invest in these words from pro wrestlers, who are always working, is up to you.

FTR currently reign as AAA's Tag Team Champions, having taken the belts from the Lucha Brothers on the 16 October episode of AEW Dynamite.
