Kevin Owens will become the latest WWE superstar to get the documentary & matches DVD package treatment when Fight Owens Fight: The Kevin Owens Story is released in stores on 4 July 2017 - a fitting date for the new United States champion.
The documentary portion is 14 chapters and 13 extras, including deleted scenes and Network-exclusive footage. Disc one covers the birth of his career and independent work leading to his WWE tryout, brief-yet-impactful tenure in NXT, and subsequent path to the Universal championship.
Hopefully there's been a deal reached to use footage from his Ring of Honor and Pro Wresting Guerilla days similar to what happened with the CM Punk documentary, otherwise a substantial amount of his pre-WWE career will have to be glossed over outside of talking head segments.
The remainder of the set will consist of KO's most memorable matches and moments from his brief WWE career, such as his NXT debut and title match against Sami Zayn, to his first appearance on Raw and the following battle with John Cena.
All the essential Owens WWE performances are included, culminating in his recent WrestleMania 33 United States championship victory over Chris Jericho.
The Blu-Ray edition will feature four exclusive bouts, including clashes with Zayn, Neville, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns.
It's a bit surprising that WWE would put together a set on Owens this early in his run, but for a performer with a hugely dedicated fanbase this is a sign that the promotion thinks highly of the Canadian superstar, likely planning to keep him around the main event scene for years to come.
