Bill Goldberg spoke on the possibility of his son, Gage, stepping into the ring during a recent appearance on After the Bell with Corey Graves. While the 55-year-old didn't outright confirm that Goldberg Jr. would one day embark on a wrestling career, he said that it's "highly possible" (h/t 411 Mania):-

“It is highly possible. Hopefully, that will be an option for him. I do believe that it’s inbred in him to have the love and passion for sports, the physicality of football, the physicality of playing catcher, and wrestling, they’re all the same. It’s all about opportunities."

Continuing, Bill said that he ultimately wants his son to make his own decision:-

"I mean, I want him to follow his dream. He’s already proven to me and everybody else that he’s already become a better baseball player than I ever can be. So I don’t want him to ever be compared against me because it’s not fair. He’s his own guy. I just want to be able to provide him opportunities and let him make his own choice, and get him as prepared as humanly possible for life. That’s what it’s all about, man. So yeah, I think it’s highly possible. Will the opportunity present itself? Only time will tell.”

Goldberg Sr. wrestled Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber 2022. Passing out in a chokehold, this was the last match on the WCW icon's previous WWE contract, though the possibility of him renewing likely remains on the table.

Meanwhile, Gage has made several onscreen WWE appearances since his father returned in 2016, most notably as a supporting character in Bill's 2021 feud with Bobby Lashley. This included a physical spot at SummerSlam 2021, with Lashley putting Gage in the Hurt Lock after beating his dad to retain the WWE Championship.
