Gangrel & Hurricane Helms Appear At AEW Full Gear 2020
A couple of fitting cameos highlighted the Elite Deletion.
Matt Hardy defeated Sammy Guevara in the Elite Deletion at Full Gear 2020, seemingly ending their long, snakebit feud by brutally sandwiching 'The Spanish God's' head between a steal chair and the Dome of Deletion's concrete door, before Guevara was thrown in a wheelie bin and driven away by Señor Benjamin.
The bout was as wild as fans have come to expect from these Deletions, with an extra dose of violence to give it something different. The cameos, not the result, were the biggest stories coming out of it, with Hurricane Helms and Gangrel (!) both showing up midway through.
Hurricane was thrown in the Lake of Reincarnation twice, first re-emerging as his Gregory Helms reporter character, then returning in superhero garb. Gangrel, meanwhile, appeared as a masked man with Helms at his mercy, before yanking away a hood to reveal his true identity.
In a callback to Hardy's time in the Brood, Gangrel said that Matt showed him no loyalty when he mentored him, but Sammy was always loyal to the vampiric brawler, leading to him siding with Guevara.
