Ever since Goldberg was announced as the special pre-order character for the upcoming WWE 2K17 game, fans have wondered if they'd see the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion return to the ring. The fact that Brock Lesnar is being marketed as the "star" of the video game led to interest in seeing a bout between the two unstoppable juggernauts.

The 49-year-old Goldberg has not competed in a wrestling match since 2004, when he took on none other than Lesnar. The match came at the end of Goldberg's year-long hit-and-miss tenure with WWE and was supposed to see "Da Man" put Lesnar over, but plans changed when Lesnar requested his release from the company prior to the show. The Madison Square Garden crowd, fully aware that both men were on their way out, mercilessly booed the entire thing, making for one of the most surreal bouts in WrestleMania history.

Survivor Series will be held in Toronto, Ontario, on November 20.
