Former WCW Champion Goldberg returned to WWE at Super Show-Down, entering a disappointing performance against The Undertaker after concussing himself on a ring post spot gone wrong.

It was equal parts sad and shambolic. 'Taker was said to be furious after the bout and Goldberg collapsed at ringside while attempting to make his way to the back, compounding a night he'd almost certainly rather forget.

But while Super Show-Down might not have been creatively or athletically satisfying for the 52-year-old, big Bill's big bank account was certainly much better for it: according to Dave Meltzer in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Goldberg earned a cool $1 million for one night of work.

There's currently no word on what The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels made for their appearances on the show.

On top of this, it's thought that Brock Lesnar's payday may have eclipsed Goldberg's. This shouldn't come as a huge surprise, given how adept a negotiator 'The Beast Incarnate' is, but it's worth noting regardless.

Meltzer also rights that WWE plan on using Goldberg post-SummerSlam. He'll face Dolph Ziggler on Sunday night. Afterwards, the company intend to utilise him like Bruno Sammartino towards the end of his career, with the big man coming in for the odd grudge match or two every year.
