Bill Goldberg returned to WWE Raw for the first time in over 12 years on Monday night. Last seen wrestling Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XX, Goldberg had been hotly-tipped for a return to the company since his inclusion in WWE 2K17 was announced back in May, and now looks set to retire against The Beast Incarnate.

The Wrestler Observer Newsletter are now reporting that Goldberg is only scheduled to wrestle a single match, and that while the deal took several months to put together, it was only finalised two weeks ago.

Goldberg used precise terminology while addressing the match in his comback promo. Referring to Brock Lesnar as both "next" and "last," he gave strong indications that this will be his final match, and this now seems all but certain.

The date and location haven't been finalised, but Goldberg's acceptance of Lesnar's challenge on Monday makes the rematch a dead cert. Itis widely expected to take place on November 20th at Survivor Series in Toronto, and this will likely be announced closer to the time.

The Observer also stated that there's a chance Goldberg might be tempted into another match after fighting Lesnar, but it depends on how well the rematch goes over.
