WWE legend Booker T thinks the time is right for creative to introduce a brand new "midcard" belt that's exclusively for women.

Book told FOX News that he reckons something akin to WCW's old Television Title (albeit only for the ladies on Raw, SmackDown and NXT) could work well in 2023. He believes it's important that everybody on the roster has something to fight for, and pointed to the importance of that TV strap to his own singles career in the late-1990s.

WCW turned Booker from Harlem Heat tag-team star (alongside his brother Stevie Ray) to fledgling singles force in late-1997/early-1998, and it paid off big. There's no denying that the undercard TV belt played a huge part in Book's transition.

Now, he wants to see somebody else get "a little bit of shine".

Booker also teased this new "TV Title" as an NXT option. He's basically pitching a female North American strap, or a women's Intercontinental/United States belt if it's on the main roster.

The TV Title was often WCW's lowest-ranked championship during the 90s, but it definitely helped Booker ascend the company ladder on a competitive roster.
