With Jeff Hardy coming to his brother's aid at the end of TNA Against All Odds on Friday, there's now an update on the current contract status of the legendary Hardys.

As per Fightful Select, neither Jeff nor Matt are tied down to TNA, with both operating as free agents.

Matt Hardy made his return to TNA at Rebellion back in April, and he was unsuccessful in challenging Moose for the TNA World Title at Against All Odds. Post-match, Moose and the System put a beatdown on Matt, Nic and Ryan Nemeth, and Joe Hendry, before a steel chair-wielding Jeff Hardy returned to even the odds.

It had been well publicised that Matt's AEW deal expired earlier this year, with that contract being briefly extended through WrestleMania Week. Now, Jeff's time with AEW has also come to an end, and many had expected the Charismatic Enigma to join his brother in TNA once his AEW deal was up.

For those wondering, Jeff became a free agent as of midnight on Thursday night/Friday morning, with plans already in motion for the younger Hardy to return to the TNA fold. Initially, the original agreement with Matt Hardy was a short-term one, but more dates have now been added to that. Fightful also notes that creative pitches have been made for Reby Hardy to have a match, which if it happened would be Reby's first match since 2016.

In terms of AEW, the door remains open for the Hardys and AEW to work together in the future but, for now at least, there haven't been recent talks about Matt and Jeff signing new deals with Tony Khan's promotion.
