Yesterday saw WWE host an exclusive rehearsal for their brand new ThunderDome setup ahead of its big debut on tonight's episode of SmackDown, inviting a select number of people to join what has been described as a "state-of-the-art viewing experience."

Images of this inevitably hit the internet soon after, with several sources uploading snaps showing what this thing is going to look like with virtual fans.

It's... certainly something, though this writer will hold back on passing judgment until he has seen it in action. Perhaps the pictures don't do it justice.

ThunderDome viewers were treated to several exhibition matches featuring the likes of Kacy Catanzaro, Kayden Carter, Jake Atlas, Mansoor, and Ridge Holland, as well as crew members running through several WWE wrestlers' ring entrances. The rehearsal started an hour later than intended, though it sounds like things went relatively smoothly once the show was up and running.

Debuting on tonight's SmackDown, it is expected that ThunderDome will remain in place for the duration of WWE's Amway Center residency, which lasts through October. Again, it'll be interesting to see what this dystopian monster looks like in motion.
