Thunder Rosa has revealed that she will become a free agent sometime in 2022.

Speaking on the Back Talk podcast, the former NWA Women's Champion said that she believes a "bright future" awaits her, adding that she'll have her family with her when she finally decides on which promotional to tether herself to (h/t WrestleZone for the transcriptions):-

"We know we have a bright future ahead of us. That’s what I know and I’m staying positive with that, and we’re going to see from there. I’m probably going to do the [NCAA signing day] kind of thing. My husband’s going to be with me, my son, Drago’s going to be in the middle and I’m going to have the [promotion] hats [in front of me], and then I’m going to put a hat on. It’s going to be a 2022 moment probably."

Rosa as commented on speculation linking her with WWE last year, admitting that she "trolled everybody" during that period:-

"That whole November thing was so funny. We were trolling everybody for like a week and a half. It was great. I had so many followers and people talking about me. And still talking about me. I’m just riding the wave right now and seeing what’s going to happen next. Consolidating my brand, [and] my other brand in Mission Pro Wrestling. My school; and that’s all that matter’s right now. Whatever’s going to happen in the next few months I have no control over."

Given that she's currently pulling double duty with AEW and the NWA, as well as running her Mission Pro Wrestling promotion and her wrestling school with Jazz, it's safe to say that Thunder Rosa is one of the busiest people in American wrestling.

NWA President Billy Corgan has previously claimed that his former Women's Champion is contracted to his group through 2021. Her current contract clearly doesn't prohibit her from working on other projects, and it's hard to imagine her inking a deal that would see her giving that freedom up. A lot can change in a year, though.
