How Far Could A Possible Mandy Rose And Sonya Deville Romance Go?
The two women are poised to change WWE's less-than-stellar track record of LGBT characters on TV.
For the past couple of weeks on SmackDown Live!, WWE has teased a romantic pairing between on and offscreen best friends, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. Deville, who is openly gay in real life, has spoken out about the honor she has taken on representing the LGBT community on WWE television.
"It feels super special because I look back four years ago when I came out on 'Tough Enough' and I think back before that, not even being able to verbalize that I'm gay," she said.
"And so (it's special) to be here now with WWE by my side not only supporting and loving and accepting who I am but hopefully passing that message on to others that are in the position that I was once in."
Is that message about to cut through like never before?
