How WWE REALLY Feels About Sting's Last AEW Match
If you're wondering what WWE's position is on Sting's AEW farewell, then wonder no more!
Early reports suggested WWE made moves to ban legends like Kevin Nash from being in attendance for Sting's final match at AEW's Revolution pay-per-view this weekend, but those claims have since been thrown out. So, how does the company (and boss Triple H) really feel about Sting's last match?
Fightful Select reports that the promotion has never told any of the Stinger's close friends not to be there at ringside or backstage. This scuttlebutt all started when Kevin Nash told fans tuning into his podcast that he probably wouldn't be there due to his WWE loyalties - Triple H didn't actually ban Nash though.
He hasn't banned anyone from showing support for the icon.
It remains to be seen exactly who will be there live for Sting and Darby Allin vs. The Young Bucks. Nash has pretty much ruled himself out, but Lex Luger is amongst those expected to show some love for his pal. The interesting thing there is that Lex is also rumoured for WWE's Hall Of Fame ceremony pre-WrestleMania 40.
Again though, Fightful's report makes it clear: WWE hasn't told anyone to steer clear of Greensboro and AEW Revolution.
