How WWE Roster Reacted To FOX's Draft Segments

Was the WWE roster celebrating with the suits and that giant robot?

Last week's SmackDown and last night's Raw brought a number of "war room" reaction segments to accompany the 2019 Draft, as the shows repeatedly cut to a boardroom full of suits (and a big bloody robot) as the Draft progressed.

This was seemingly done to further the supposed "real-sport feel" WWE are currently chasing with SmackDown on FOX. To be polite, the reaction amongst WWE fans was mixed, particularly as the executives leapt out of their chairs for Natalya, of all people, and it sounds like they didn't go down particularly well backstage either.

This is according to WrestlingNews.co, who claim that the SmackDown segments weren't met with a good reaction among WWE wrestlers. Per their report, one performer even said that "WWE can't help themselves," noting that "it always makes me cringe when you see them trying so hard to show everyone how mainstream they are."

Well, at least we don't have to see them again anytime soon.

The 2019 Draft wasn't particularly well-executed at all, with WWE accidentally spoiling their draft picks by revealing the talent pools in order, and removing all prestige from being a "top pick" by having the pools in the first place. Here's hoping the next one is smoother.
