Big E last wrestled for the company on March 11th 2022, suffering a broken neck in a contest pitting The New Day against Ridge Holland and Butch.
E took an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on the arena floor and landed directly on his head and neck. It was subsequently revealed that he had suffered fractures to his C1 and C6 vertebrae, though fortunately damage to his spinal cord and ligaments was avoided and he didn't require surgery.
He's since understandably remained non-committal about a potential return to the ring, but this latest rumour could make for one of the bigger and happier surprises in this year's Draft.
