The Elite have found their man for Blood & Guts, and it's exactly who everybody thinks and wants it to be!

The "smart money" on the fifth man to join Kenny Omega, Hangman Page and The Young Bucks is Kota Ibushi, according PWInsider.com. As they noted in their most recent report;

"PWInsiderElite reported last week, after Dynamite last Wednesday, Kenny Omega said on the mic he had called someone he respects to help the Elite in Blood and Guts. He was 100% teasing his longtime partner in Japan, Kota Ibushi, and you can pretty much bet the house on Ibushi making his AEW debut in Boston, MA at the TDGarden that night. There is no one else who fits the description Omega was making, so it looks like long-time fans will finally get that reunion on camera - and it won't be Ibushi's only appearance for AEW."

"Bet the house" is the strongest possible commitment to the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and longstanding Omega partner/collaborator coming in for the five-on-five double cage war.

Meanwhile, rumours persist that Chris Jericho will join the heel Blackpool Combat Club side, following a heated exchange with fellow Winnipeg wrestling icon Don Callis on last week's Dynamite. The Jericho Appreciation Society leader has appeared in both editions of the stipulation match so far, and while last year alone he contested the AEW and ROH Championships with Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli respectively, the possibility of him keeping his streak of appearances alive is strong.

The new Jericho programmes that could emerge from it are evident too, not least considering that this is expected to be the final showdown between the warring factions.
