Daniel Bryan is set to battle Jey Uso in a steel cage match on next week's Friday Night SmackDown on FOX, according to his appearance on the latest episode on Talking Smack.

This week's edition of the blue show saw Bryan and Uso both falling to a double count-out finish in their main event encounter, meaning that 'The Leader of the YES! Movement' failed in his quest to earn a shot at Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Fastlane.

However, in a compelling development, Paul Heyman informed Bryan on Talking Smack that he would have another opportunity at Reigns' cousin on next week's show, earning a title shot through victory but having to acknowledge the champ as 'The Tribal Chief' and best wrestler in the world should he lose.

Clearly learning from the mistakes of this week, Bryan demanded the bout be contested inside of a steel cage in order to guarantee a winner and prevent any interference. After some reluctance, Heyman was finally given the green light to announce the added stipulation during the interview via Reigns text message.

Signing off this dramatic back and forth, Bryan simply told Heyman:

“I have a message for you to give to Roman Reigns. I am no longer putting myself on the back burner. I am no longer putting other people first. I am going to take what’s mine. And that’s the reign that I’ve had — before CM Punk — and that’s the best damn wrestler in the world.”

Bryan famously stated that his last full-time run in the company would be dedicated to helping the stars of tomorrow a few months back. Yet, his riveting rivalry with Reigns appears to have sparked a fire in 'The American Dragon', one which could see him reclaim a title that many would argue he never lost - being the best wrestler on the planet.
