WWE Tables, Ladders, and Chairs doesn't take place until December 4th. That's more than a month away, and with Survivor Series on the immediate horizon, most fans aren't even thinking about SmackDown's next brand-specific PPV yet.

The main event has been set, however. Dean Ambrose won the right to another title shot earlier in the evening, and on Talking Smack, Commissioner Shane McMahon announced that he would fight for AJ Styles' WWE World Championship in one of the PPV's titular TLC matches.

Ambrose and Styles have been feuding for months. It started in the build-up to Backlash, SmackDown's first post-Draft PPV, when Styles defeated the Lunatic Fringe to win his first WWE Title. AJ successfully defended the belt against both Ambrose and John Cena at No Mercy, then retained against Ambrose in another singles match on SD's Sept. 27th show.

The rivalry continued through James Ellsworth's involvement. SmackDown's hapless newcomer looked to have cost Ambrose another title opportunity last week, but he made good last night. Ellsworth's ringside appearance distracted Styles, and allowed Dean to hit the Dirty Deeds and earn another shot at gold.

The feud rages on, but Ambrose and Styles must put their differences aside in the interim: they'll be expected to coexist as members of SmackDown's 5-man Survivor Series team.
