Hulk Hogan's 26 Losses - From Cleanest To Screwiest

11. Saturday Night's Main Event - André The Giant

Hulk Hogan and André the Giant were coming off the biggest marquee match of the 1980's -- maybe ever -- and the plan was to get the title off Hogan and run a tournament at WrestleMania IV. Instead of just having Hogan lose to his greatest rival -- a 7', 500 lb,15-year undefeated giant -- Hogan got a visual pin before things really went off a cliff.

Virgil distracted the official, allowing André to stand up and nail Hogan with history's worst butterfly suplex and land on top of him in pinning position. That's already kind of a screwjob, Instead, we got Hogan getting a shoulder up at 1.5, and then a plastic surgery conspiracy theory.

Yes, rather than asking us to believe that Hulk Hogan could be incapacitated for three seconds by a 500 pound weight landing on his chest, WWE asked us to believe that Ted DiBiase hired a personal crooked referee, then had him surgically altered to resemble Earl Hebner, the contracted official.

Of special note is Hogan's absolutely unreal post-match promo, where he literally wails in agony and cries big ugly orange tears to the embarrassment of Mean Gene and, uh, everyone watching.

Rating: Tear-Inducing
