If WWE Was Being Honest About Seth Rollins: Part 2
WWE and Seth Rollins are working, in creative collaboration, to essentially ruin his run at the top. It is astonishing, how far Rollins has fallen. And he doesn’t have the excuse, because he absolved WWE of blame while at the same time alienating everybody with his delusion and smug detachment from reality.
Roman Reigns didn’t say Kazuchika Okada couldn’t draw flies, or something to that effect, in the wake of his infamous promo disaster. He was also, in stark contrast, very magnanimous towards Jon Moxley in his interview with Justin Barrasso. Reigns “will always have love for that guy,” and he will always “wish the best for him”. Reigns, a divisive performer, never embarrassed the company.
John Cena was a lick-a*se, and was particularly egregious in his dismissal of Chris Kanyon’s abilities—but his charity work was profoundly impressive. Rollins offers nothing but embarrassment as the face of the company. Much was made of the weird, damning statistic of Jinder Mahal outdrawing Rollins on top, but it isn’t a reflection of each performer, but the brand at large. And this is more serious than a tarped-off crowd, from a PR perspective.
Rollins is making a monopoly look small-time.
