Impact Wrestling Rebellion 2021: 8 Predicted Matches Following Sacrifice

Kenny Omega vs. Rich Swann, FinJuice vs. The Good Brothers, and what else?

Technically speaking, there has only been one Rebellion pay-per-view promoted under the Impact Wrestling banner.

However, you have to take into consideration just what was on offer from that fateful night in April 2019; Brian Cage finally becoming the World Champion by usurping Johnny Impact, Tessa Blanchard's career-defining dream match vs. Gail Kim, Rich Swann and Sami Callihan's epic oVe Rules Match that was a pure brawl, and, of course, LAX and The Lucha Bros' exceptional Full Metal Mayhem main event.

Plus, Rohit Raju vs. Scarlett Bordeaux, which was... something.

Last year's Rebellion pay-per-view was turned into a two-week special as special episodes of the weekly Impact Wrestling show at the onset of the global health crisis, yet, it still delivered some memorable moments. From the return of Crazzy Steve to Willie Mack becoming the X Division Champion to the first appearance of Moose as TNA World Heavyweight Champion, it had something to offer.

As for 2021? We're only at a two-match card at the time of writing, but you can already feel the euphoric atmosphere. A World Tag Team Championships rematch between The Good Brothers and defending champions FinJuice is scheduled, as is Kenny Omega and Rich Swann's title vs. title bout for both the AEW and Impact World Championships. It's going to be a huge night, to say the least.

What about the rest of the card, though?

8. World Tag Team Championships Number One Contenders Match: Decay Vs. XXXL Vs. Reno Scum

Impact Wrestling's pay-per-view pre-shows have, in recent times, been very, very good.

The panellists typically have good chemistry together with little to no bickering, there's space for mammoth announcements a la Madison Rayne's retirement, and the match is often of a decent calibre.

Why not make Rebellion's mean something? That something being an opportunity at the World Tag Team Championships against either FinJuice or The Good Brothers on the following Tuesday's episode of Impact Wrestling.

Decay's Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus, XXXL, and Reno Scum seem like obvious choices here. They're not too high up the doubles division pecking order to be slotted into a serious title arc quite yet, but the match would still be fine. It's the pre-show; it doesn't have to be 20-minute spectacle of superkicks, RKOs, and Canadian Destroyers.

The unfinished business both XXXL and Reno Scum have with FinJuice and The Good Brothers stemming from the road to Sacrifice also plays a factor in this. Acey Romero and Larry D looked like stars while sharing a ring with David Finlay and Juice Robinson recently, albeit on the losing side of things. A rematch with the titles on the line would only be a good thing.
