IMPACT Wrestling Rebellion 2021: 8 Things That Must Happen
8. Rachael Ellering Turns Heel Immediately
It's simple. There's nothing in Rachael Ellering and Jordynne Grace as a tag team, even if it is just for the one night.
Assuming Rachael Ellering is signed to IMPACT for more than just this pay-per-view, it's crucial that she's turned into a huge star early on. That should go down by having her turn on Jordynne Grace before they've had the chance to challenge for Fire N Flava's Knockouts Tag Team Championships, a la Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly at the 2008 Night of Champions.
IMPACT's knockouts division is missing that second or third-generation wrestler; that goes for the entire roster, really, unless you want to include David Finlay as an official IMPACT star. Rachael Ellering has the potential to change this drastically.
She was a nobody in NXT. Relegated to nothing more than untelevised live events and jobbing to higher-ranked stars when she was on television, Ellering was severely underutilised during her time there. In just one IMPACT appearance, though, Rachael has already been made to look like a genuine star.
That has to continue at Rebellion with a heel turn. Jordynne's IMPACT contract expires in May with no word yet on whether she's resigned or not; having Rachael send her packing from the company is the perfect way to establish her as the next top star.
