Impact Wrestling Vs. Lucha Underground Set For WrestleMania Weekend
The two promotions go head-to-head on April 6th.
WrestleMania weekend will host a big Impact Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground supercard on Friday, April 6th, according to an official release from Impact themselves.
The show will form part of the WrestleCon weekend schedule, which also includes shows from Combat Zone Wrestling, House Of Hardcore, and the UK's Revolution Pro Wrestling. It'll take place at New Orleans' Sugar Mill venue with a 9pm CT bell-time and will stream live on Impact's Twitch channel (twitch.tv/impactwrestling).
This comes as a result of Anthem Entertainment's working relationship with Mexico's AAA, who have provided Impact with guest wrestlers in the past. The leading Lucha Libre promotion are affiliated with LU, whose fourth season is currently in production, and should air later this year.
Impact Champion Austin Aries, Alberto El Patron, Moose, Scott Steiner, and a host of others have been confirmed on the American side. LU stars like Pentagon, Fenix, and Matanza will also be there, with match announcements set to commence over the coming weeks.
On top of the show itself, Impact and LU will host a VIP meet and greet session an hour before the card begins. Tickets for both are now available from WrestleCon.com.
