Five months removed his Ring Of Honor release, celebrated independent wrestler Donovan Dijak is on his way to WWE.

The 6'5", 260lb grappler announced that he was no longer taking independent bookings during an appearance on the New Age Insiders podcast on Wednesday night, and Figure Four Online have now confirmed his next move.

Dijak, along with recent NXT debutants Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish, was part of a group of wrestlers who had WWE contract offers rescinded following legal threats from ROH in January. He'll fulfil his final indie dates next month, then report to the Performance Center in September, according to PWInsider.

A former college football and basketball star, Dijak is best known for his eye-catching combination of size and athleticism. He towers over most opponents, but executes planchas with the grace and poise of a cruiserweight, so it's easy to see why WWE were interested.

Dijak made the decision not to re-sign with ROH when WWE reached out to him earlier this year. His signing was only a matter of time, and he has stayed busy on the global indie scene since then, playing a starring role for companies like RevPro and EVOLVE.
