Having been out of action for eight months now, it looks as if R-Truth is edging closer to an in-ring return.

Via PWInsider.com, R-Truth was spotted in Birmingham, Alabama this past week. The belief is that the 51-year-old was in Birmingham to be assessed ahead of a return to the ring.

R-Truth has been out of action since last November, with him suffering a quad tear during an NXT match against Grayson Waller. While that injury itself was a serious situation, Truth's road to recovery was further hindered by an infection which required additional surgery.

The real-life Ron Killings has been with WWE since 2008, with the veteran having been a consistently engaging and entertaining presence in a run which has seen him win the United States Championship on two occasions, win the Tag Team Titles with Kofi Kingston, and become a 54-time - yes, really - 24/7 Champion.

Prior to his current run with the market leader, R-Truth - as K-Kwik - had a three-year tenure with the then-WWF from 1999 to 2002. That was followed by Killings joining the burgeoning NWA-TNA, where he became the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.
