Injured WWE Star Teases Shock Royal Rumble 2024 Return
This WWE wrestler wants to be ahead of schedule and MAYBE return at Royal Rumble.
Braun Strowman says it'd "be great" if he was medically cleared to return at WWE's Royal Rumble PLE on 27 January 2024, but admits that the decision rests with doctors currently monitoring his condition post-neck surgery.
The WWE star told News18.com that he's feeling pretty good after having a cervical fusion on his C4 and C5 vertebrae. Surgeons put "a metal plate and four screws in [his] neck", but recently cleared the 'Monster Among Men' to start lifting heavy weights again in the gym.
That's come as a relief to Braun, because he says he was "going crazy sitting around doing nothing" for a lengthy period. Strowman likes to stay active, so he's not chuffed that he was forced to sit still and skip the gym. The big man has shed some weight due to that, and he's eager to put it back on before returning to TV.
Braun hasn't wrestled since early-May, and has seemingly targeted the Rumble for his comeback. Again, that'll only be possible if docs clear him in time. Strowman suffered a serious neck injury, and his surgery was intense.
He isn't giving up hopes of a surprise Rumble spot though.
