The Pro Wrestling REVOLVER just announced that 'Swerve' will return to the Sami Callihan-helmed promotion on 16 April, effectively confirming that the former Hit Row man will be resuming his old ring name, Shane Strickland, in the process:-

This is Strickland's first announced appearance since leaving WWE as part of one of the company's infamous rounds of "budget cuts" on 18 November 2021. He and fellow Hit Row members Top Dolla and Ashante 'Thee' Adonis were let go just four weeks after officially moving from NXT to SmackDown in the 2021 Draft - and a fortnight after stablemate B-Fab had been let go within days of signing a new multi-year deal with the promotion.

Strickland had been signed to WWE since April 2019. He experienced good fortunes in 2021's first three quarters, becoming NXT North American Champion and forming Hit Row with the aforementioned names, though his run obviously nosedived (through no fault of his own) when the group hit the main roster.

A standard 90-day WWE non-compete clause prevents Strickland from signing or appearing for other promotions until 16 February.
