Jack Perry Now Out Of Contract With AEW, But... (AEW News)
AEW star Jack Perry is technically out of contract, but negotiations are ongoing.
The Wrestling Observer's Bryan Alvarez alerted wrestling fans to news that Jack Perry's AEW deal has technically expired, but All Elite boss Tony Khan provided an update on things during a media call to promote this weekend's Forbidden Door 2026 pay-per-view.
When asked about Perry, Khan said that he's keen to keep Jungle Boy around for "a long time". However, Tony couldn't or wouldn't give any further details beyond that. It does, however, seem like negotiations to keep Jack as #AllElite are currently ongoing.
Perry's latest match for the company came vs. technical wizard Zack Sabre Jr on the 'go home' edition of Dynamite before Forbidden Door. That was a tune up bout for Sabre Jr before he wrestles Kenny Omega on the pay-per-view. Of course, ZSJ won the bout at around the 13 minute mark.
Currently, Khan isn't talking about what the negotiations process looks like or how committed Jack is to AEW life. It's unknown if there's any interest whatsoever in signing him on WWE's side, but Perry does have longstanding beef with CM Punk that'd need to be squashed if he was ever coming in. Again though, that's all conjecture - sources haven't mentioned whether or not WWE would be up for signing him even if he was available.
Apparently, Tony and other key figures on the AEW side aren't too concerned about any of this. Perry is working without an ironclad deal at time of writing, but things should get thrashed out soon. He'll likely extend his stay in AEW.
