Jake €œThe Snake€ Roberts has had a tough past wherein he often struggled with drug abuse problems. However, in the past few years, Jake Roberts has worked hard to overcome these struggles. He was able to get clean and sober, thanks in large part to €œDiamond€ Dallas Page and his DDP Yoga. Beyond ridding himself of his addictions, Jake has also lost a substantial amount of weight and just generally seemed to be in better health. Shocking news, however, has come out that Jake Roberts has been hospitalized. It seems that, on Wednesday, the recent Hall of Fame inductee was flying to Las Vegas, Nevada -- where he was to perform at a show this weekend -- and passed out on the plane. An ambulance was waiting for the aircraft when it landed, and Roberts was immediately transported to a local hospital. It€™s been reported that Jake initially fell into a coma upon arriving at the hospital. After being out for around 24 hours, the legendary wrestler regained consciousness but continued to €œfade in and out€ according to DDP, who was tweeting updates. It€™s now being reported that Roberts is fully conscious and communicating with friends and family. TMZ has reported that doctors told Roberts nearly two weeks ago that he was battling the flu and subsequently, needed to rest. Furthermore, the tabloid outlet reported that Jake is in the Intensive Care Unit and in critical condition. It€™s unclear at this time, if he is still in the ICU and if doctors are continuing to consider his condition critical. Regardless, the fact that he is currently conscious and communicating is an improvement. Furthermore, doctors have determined that Jake €œThe Snake€ is battling double pneumonia and as a result, his lungs filled with fluid. It€™s also been said that doctors found a mass on Jake€™s brain and have begun testing it, hoping to provide a proper diagnosis. Obviously, a mass on the brain is always a worrying thought, but it€™s unknown at this time exactly what it could be. Sinn Bodhi -- better known as the short-lived WWE superstar, Kizarny -- spent the night at the hospital with Jake. It was Bodhi€™s show that Roberts was to appear at. Bodhi indicated on Twitter that Jake is €œmore worried about disappointing fans than getting better.€ Surely, fans simply wish for Jake to get better.
