Just when we thought that the WWE Network was going to see the death of the company's flagship DVD releases, along comes 'It's Good To Be The King'. The DVD features a one hour 25 minute documentary main feature and compiles nearly 6 hours of DVD extras to boot. Every angle is covered. It's essentially buying for any fan of The King, or professional wrestling in general for that matter. If you have watched WWE over the last 22 years then Jerry Lawler has affected your life in a positive and certainly entertaining way. Whether it be from his initial run as a heel feuding the likes of Bret 'The Hitman' Hart, the Attitude Era's resident Hugh Hefner, or the current day happy-go-lucky babyface commentator, everyone has seen Jerry at his brilliant best. But what this DVD sets out to achieve is to open you eyes to the true essence of the wrestling legend that is The King. Only diehard wrestling fans of a certain vintage will remember his work down in Memphis Tennessee. Work that made him a household name in the city, and work that would eventually lead to a feud that would reach international recognition. The be-all and end-all is that there is a lot more than initially meets the eye when it comes to The King. As you'll see reading this article, this DVD is a must buy. Period.
