Spare a thought for veteran wrestling announcer Jim Ross, who accidentally referred to AEW World Champion Kenny Omega as the "WWE Champion" during last night's episode of AEW Dynamite.

An honest slip from Ross, here. Producing live television is difficult and it's good to see that the situation is being joked off by McIntyre in particular, whose Twitter post isn't to be taken seriously.

Ross has been with AEW almost since the promotion's inception, inking an initial three-year deal in April 2019. He has been the voice of Dynamite throughout the show's lifespan, now occupying a permanent three-man booth alongside Tony Schiavone and Excalibur, and while he drew criticism for several commentary mix-ups early on (including getting several wrestlers' names wrong), these have dried up over the past year or so.

Schiavone addressed the situation on Dynamite's post-show YouTube video, saying "all you have is to keep moving forward when you make a mistake."
