Legendary commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross suffered a nasty injury last night, which left him with a badly grazed face and a heck of a black eye.

Ross posted to his Twitter account earlier today - alongside a graphic selfie - saying that he "took a bad bump last night", and that "the concrete went over."

Good God almighty.

Despite his face being broken in half, Ross vowed that he'd still be attending Oklahoma University's football game this evening. The Sooners are scheduled to take on the Kansas Jayhawks.

Ross didn't give any further details on how he incurred his massive shiner, besides intimating his slobberknocker with the pavement. It's a fight few come out of on top.

The long-time announcer was in the news earlier this week after it was reported that his New Japan Pro Wrestling contract is set to expire in March 2019. It's currently understood that he will not be able to call Wrestle Kingdom 13 on 4 January, unless a new deal can be hashed out with AXS in the interim.
