John Cena is perhaps the biggest WWE name to not have a match announced for WrestleMania 35 at the moment, but it sounds like the 16-time World Champion will be in the house on 7 April.

This is according to Dave Meltzer in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter. While running down the planned 'Mania card (which may end up standing at 17 - SEVENTEEN! - bouts), Meltzer noted that 'Big Match John' is currently scheduled to compete against an unconfirmed opponent.

WWE themselves are yet to decide on who Cena will face, having offered no hints whatsoever on Raw or SmackDown. Meltzer notes the Raw crowd chanting for John following the Kurt Angle vs. Baron Corbin announcement, but given that several sources are now reporting that this match won't be changed, Cena facing the Olympian doesn't look likely.

WrestleMania 34 saw Cena squashed by The Undertaker in less than three minutes. It's too late for WWE to build a rematch, but perhaps the company might pull the trigger on a bout with R-Truth, as teased by the former United States Champion in recent weeks. He'd surely be honoured to face his "childhood hero" on the grandest stage.
