Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson revealed on Instagram that John Cena will soon star in a movie produced by his Seven Bucks Productions studio.

The project, titled "The Janson Directive", is adapted from a Robert Lundlum novel. Lundlum famously also penned the Jason Bourne series of books, and Cena's new role will see him play a "former Navy SEAL and prisoner of war" called Paul Janson, who "works as a corporate security consultant".

The movie's description fleshes out the film's plot further by saying Cena's character will be "forced to go on the run when an assignment to rescue a VIP goes wrong".

Johnson (and his Seven Bucks partner Dany Garcia) will co-produce the movie in conjunction with Universal Pictures, and it's worth nothing that Johnson himself was originally slated for the role.

As most WWE fans know, this won't be the first time Cena and The Rock have worked together. They headlined both WrestleMania XXVIII and 29 in 2012 and 2013 respectively, and reportedly found a mutual level of respect during the feud.

The Janson Directive is expected to go into production later this year.
